Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy (born on the 17th of October 1992) was born on 17 October 1992, and is an Indian actress. She appears primarily on screen in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award as Best Actress in 2018 because of her performance as actress Savitri, who appeared in the Telugu movie Mahanati. The actress also won three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar's parents include filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar & actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her first career was an actor for children. Then, following a course in Fashion Design, she re-entered acting. She played her first major role in Geethaanjali (2013) in which was a Malayalam movie. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In the year 2015, Keerthy accepted her first projects outside of Malayalam and signed on to appear in several Tamil film projects simultaneously. Even though the film was not a success at the box-office, her debut film is A. A. Vijay's romantic-comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2005), which she starred in opposite Vikramprabhu. Because of her hectic schedule for 2015, she could not choose but to pull herself out of projects on which she had already begun making appearances, such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye or Deekay's Kavalaivendam. Within a brief period she also worked together with Sivakarthikeyan in Rajini Murugan, Remo and she also acted as the lead for Prabhu Sool's Thodari alongside Dhanush. She made her Telugu debut had been scheduled to be titled Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. However, the film is delayed since 2015, with speculation of a release date after September 2020 under a new title Janakitho Nenu. The debut film came out as Nenu Sailaja in the year 2016 with actress Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay in Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on 17 January 2017.
