Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He combines soul gospel jazz and R&B to create a unique blend. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, the singer has done work everywhere. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church where she sang and was a pianist. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released only in Japan and was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part in her live show. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, Tyler Perry hired her as the principal keyboardist on the stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the choir leader of the production. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during the four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing for the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
